Hi classmates! How are you? I feel fine because the end of the semester is near to us :D

I’m happy for start in my first year whit English, because now, I can get more free time in the future.

I think this experience (the post) has been a good opportunity for loosen my hand in the English writing.
I can see a big change since the beginning of the year to this day. In the beginning, I can’t write anything without google translator, but today the words come to my brain more fast and whit less insecurity.
Nonetheless I am aware about my deficiency about the grammar en the conjugations of the verbs in different times.

In my case, I be faced whit this language only in the university. First, all Wednesday in this classes and secondly, whit the text aforementioned, but in the case of the text, is not a real faced, because I try to undertand it, but I cant, even whit google translator.   

I suggest is so much necessary for us and our immediate needs learn to read text. 
In ours careers, we have to read a lot of required text for the signatures, and this has become a problem, because we don’t have reading comprehension.
By the above, I propose for the next classes of English, focus in the needs of the students, like translate text germane whit the university.
I know about the importance of learning to talk and write correctly, but we need whit urgency understand the university text.
Maybe we can ride in class text appropriate for our English level and then increase the level, to finally acquire the tools for read for ourselves the text for the exams.  

this year

Hi classmates! Today I’m going to talk about this year, specificity in the university, because this is the thing of this year that I memorize when I grow up.
2014 was complete new for me. In March, I star whit a new kind of rhythm studies, because this is my first year in the university.
I go out of a Montessori school, and the methodology used for teaching is really different. Secondly, my class was composed only for eighteen teens, but when I start my first semester in the university I be faced whit more than one hundred of classmates! I can’t memorize all their names yet, and that is so estrange for my.
When I enter here, I expect have a “university horary”. This signifying for me have more free hours, but definitely I was wrong. Now I’m customary to the rhythm of the university, but I expect that November finalized quickly for have holidays.

Of course, when I enter to study anthropology, I expect stay in the career, but in the second middle of the year, I decide to change my way the next year.
Despite this, I don’t take this year like “lost time in my life”, because in it course, I make new good friends and learn a lot of things, not only speaking from the academic aspect. I had known about politic collectives, investigation lines, ore an other kinds of organizations. I’m agree whit some of them and disagree whit others, but all the things serve for have a more informed opinion.

In conclusion, I thing this year was important for me and my personal development J

Hi classmates, I’m happy about can see an interesting video in the class, and you?
To be honest, I have to put all my ears and concentration for understand the video, but I thing that I can capture the principal ideas of the woman.

The woman says that categories today are less important than before. Before you can’t access for one content for your own, but today we can escape for ours “demographics restrictions”. We don’t need a company who tell us what to do, for this reason, the traditional company’s are worried about the social webs.

This situation have positives and negatives aspects. Its negative because the administrators of socials pages can know about ours likes, friends and moves, but is positive because we have the “freedom” for decide what and when do it.
Now we are classify for our likes and personality, not for our sex, age, economic situation, etc.

The statistics says that the woman dedicate more time than the mans to stay in social pages. This case, for the opinion of the author of the conference, means that woman will be contracted for the social companies for give a correct assessor about the likes and dislikes of the woman world.

I`m agree whit the author about the web pages help whit the  destructions of classify  people according stereotypes and give more power of decisions, but this not significate that we are really outside of the demographics restrictions. When we search information in google or videos in YouTube, we found different things of Peru, EEUU or China. Hence, the freedoms that give us the social pages is only an illusion.

I’m not considerate me a person addicted to facebook, but is true that when I turn on the computer, I sitting at facebook. It’s an habit that I have gained whit the time.

Only in special occasions I write on my wall, because I hate the people who write all the things of their day, like “eating spaghetti” and a picture of the dish.

More than review the post of my friends in “inicio”, I love see theirs photos, especially of their travels.

I upload my photos too, and I get happy when facebook inform me about a comment or a like in my photo.

Now, in my university life, I use a lot this page for keeping informed about the activities of the career.  This site is not created whit only this objective, but is very useful for that. To me, it’s one of the best sites to socialize and communicate whit friends and classmates.. 
In the web site, the career has created a lot of groups, for my part, I am inserted in the groups of “antropología generación 2014”, “mechones antropología u.chile 2014”, “línea de antropología de la educación” and a lot of different groups related whit my new career, they invaded my account whit notifications!! 
Whiteout the groups in Facebook, I couldn´t find out about the events, reunions, assemblies, etc. Neither could read the translations of the texts in English or the summary done by my adorable classmates.

nature

Hi classmates! Today I’m going to talk about the environment and their cares.
All of us know about the importance of take care the nature and the life of the earth, but we are consequence about it?

 Nature is our life, if we don’t have any forests, rocks, trees, plants, fruits, animals and many more things, the whole world might die. If we don’t take care of nature we might die, because trees gives us oxygen and clean air, plants give us beauty to the world and food, fruits give us vitamins and minerals and forests are the home for a lot of kind of lives.

For take care the nature and reduce our carbon footprint, we can put conscience in everiday things, like use the minimal volume of water, turn off the lights, use the public transport or a bike and recycle our trash.

I don’t have a car, hence I don’t contaminate the planet whit this element.
In my house, we have recipient to recycle plastics, paper and paperboard, cans and tetra packs.
When I start to recycle, I aware about the amazing volume of trash produce only in one house, believe me, is more that you think.

However, I should better in others of my habits for don’t cause so much damage in the planet, for example, when I take a shower. I don’t take a long shower than my sister, but I know that I use more of the necessary time.

I think it's not that easy to recycle in Chile, but this is not an excuse for not do it. If you search a possibility you can found it, so we have to take the initiative and use a space of the day for worry about ours customs.

If we continue contaminate we might have an end! so take care of our nature and our world.

my future?

Sadly the holidays was finished, so we have to come to the university and write post again.
Today I’m going to tell you about my future, but I don’t know what can I tell you exactly about it.

In the present I’m confused whit this topic, because I’m not sure what happened whit me the next year.

I love my career, I like the classes and learn a lot of new things, but the idea of to be an anthropologist or archaeologist don’t make me completely satisfy.

A lot of that graduates works for big companies, mainly approving theirs projects.
Definitely I don’t want to do this things, if I end my career, I’m going to do different things.
They work in things of my interest, and can travel for amazing places and meet new people and cultures. They can do it a big investigation and generate new knowledge for the world.

All that things are so funny, but I’m not sure about the utility for help whit something useful for the word. I know the knowledge is important for create conscience, but I think I want to do something more directly to “change the world”, yes, is an utopia, but in the world are a lot of things to do for transform it in a best place.

My other option for the next year is study pedagogy, because I would like to work whit kids and learn different pedagogic methodologies, show them knew things and help they to reflex.

Maybe I’m in a vocational crisis…

I love reading book. I have this habit since I was a child, because I adopt the custom of my mom.
 Before enter at the university, I have a lot of time for reading books chosen by my, but in the present, I don´t have time to read something unrelated whit the university.
I have three favorites’ books. The first book I put in the list it was “Las siete vidas y medias del capitan oso azul”, is a book for children’s and I read when I was it.  When I read it, immediately transformed in my favorite book.
It’s an amazing story about the life of a little blue bear; it’s so funny and full of crazy things.
When I grow up, I discover a kind of literature more developed and wake up in my soul a big interest for the books.
In the actuality, my list of favorite books is conformed for the books “Cien años de soledad” and “rayuela”.
I think my favorites writers are Mario Benedetti and Gabriel Garcia Marquez, I love their stories and their form to write.
 I have a weird sentiment whit the writer Julio Cortazar, sometime I love him, but anther time I hate it, but always I returned to love his cunning, his stories, his imagination. 

Manu Chao

Hello classmates! For this class, I choose to right about the second topic: my best concert

I think my best concert I ever attended was the show of Manu Chao the eight of December of the last year in his tour “la Ventura”, after four years of not visiting our country.
When a friend told me about his visit, I’m decided immediately to save money for this occasion, because I love his music and him.

I remember how happy I was when i bought the ticket for the show, I was so excited! And the ticket was so beautiful! I don’t have seen a ticket whit so many colours anymore L

Well, after than days and days of expected, the day finally comes, I meet whit my friends and we went to the Estadio Nacional.
The show was amazing! I’m very surprise whit the levels of energy of Manu Chao, because he has 53 years old, and he jumped and danced the entire concert but whit not any sweat or symptom of fatigue.
The concert was very fun, I’m happy about attended it and I’m sure of this show is a moment of my life do not forget never.

The principle of linguistic relativity

Hi everybody! Today I’m going to talk about an article names “linguistic relativity”.
I read the article one month ago, because is part of the necessary bibliography for pass the course of anthropology two.
In the article, the writer (I don’t remember his name) does a recompilation of the ideas of Sapir and Whorf, two students of Frank Boas, who was a very famous anthropologist.
Sapir and Whorf are famous because they create a new theory about the meaning of speak different languages.
The principle of linguistic relativity holds that the structure of a language affects the ways in which its respective speakers conceptualize their world.
Have a specific language gives you a determinate point of view about the world. This point of view is different to the other languages and is impossible to traduce.
I chose this article for the activity of today because I think is very interesting, because is a new way for understand the culture and perception of human groups.
I didn’t was thought in this possibility before to read the text, and I believe in their thesis.
  

Pachu Michu

Hi, my name is Dania, and for the beginning of the English class of level four, I’m going to write about my travel experiences.

My favorite travel was when I’m in third grade of secondary school. The destiny was Peru, specifically Cuzco and Machu Picchu.
I love the place, I think is one of the most beautiful and interesting places of the word.
Another reason about I Enjoyed so much the trip was because I travel whit most part of my family (dad, sisters, cousins, uncles and aunts, and my grandmother).
This year my grandmother died, and I’m grateful about could had the opportunity of realized this magical adventure whit her.

This summer I want to go back for Machu Picchu, but this time whit Sofia, my best friend of the school. I want to repeat the destiny because is not too far of Chile, I love the place, and I want to  take advantage of the  things that I couldn’t  have had whit my family, like the “Camino del Inca”.
We are planning travel in January, and for this trip my objectives are have fun, explore, know new places and people and save a lot of memories on my head.

I dont want to write anymore !!!

the zombies are people raised owing to spell of a vudú religión or some kinde of witch.
When this happens, the living dead will transform in the slave of the witch.
This is the original idea of the zombies, but on 1968, George Romero filmed the movie “Night of the living dead” about zombies canibals, Since this movie, we changed our perception of the zombie person, in general doing an associating whit monster eaters of brains.

I dont remember the first time when i Heard about them, really i didnt had looked a lot of movies about zombies. My relation more nearby whit the zombies was in the computer game “Plantas versus zombies”.
The objetive of the game is protec your house of sotrong waves of zombies who wants to invade it. To achieve it you have to buy a lot of plants antizombies and put it in the garden.

I think the history of the zombies dont exist in the real Word, and im very grateful about this.
If the zombies have walked for the Street i will be very scared every day and dont  go out of my house again.  NEVER.
I dont belive the zombies are cool, they are rares, uglies, nasty and terrorific.
I discrept of their way of live, this opinon can be ethnocentric, but even so, i hate them.

The web site that i visit for keeping informed about the ads and activities of the career is Facebook.  This site is not created whit only this objective, but is very useful for that. To me, it’s one of the best sites to socialize and communicate whit friends and classmates.

Facebook is an online social networking servic, I visited day through.  In the web, users can create profiles with photos and images, lists of personal interests, contact information, memorable life events, and other personal information, such as employment status.
Is very useful for a lot of things! Hence I like very much.

I like take photos when i travel, for have a memory of the moment on the future.
I´m not a professional photographer, as I said, I take photos only when i travel or in a special moment.
My camera is green and i like very much, because it can be submerged under the water.
This characteristic allows  take photos like this:

I don't remember who takes this photography, but i thing that was one of my sisters.
This photo shows me doing snorkel in the ocean. It was my first time practicing this activity, and is nice for my have a picture of this funny moment.
The photo brings me a lot of memory of the travel. I went whit my grandmother, my uncles and aunts, cousins, my father and his girlfriend and my two sister.

I thing that, in the future when i will be an old woman, i will be able to smile when i will see this image. 

MY PETS

hello. I like to speak something about my animals. Why them? Easy, they are the only who really want to see you every time. So if you ask me, do you like animals? I will tell you, YES MAN, YES. 
I am going to show you, who was my  first friend. He was very brave, be quiet, he could bite you..

The only problem is that he has not teeth =( 
The name of this beast was Pantufla. Yep, you really read well. He used to sleep into a sleep shoes. The life of  him looks fine, but actually was not so fine. His mother and his brothers and sisters passed away when he was just a puppy. 

My love is not for the dogs, the cats occupy part of my soul too. I have to accept that sometimes I behave like one of them, I stay all the long day on the sofa. 
My last cat was pulgo. He was white and black, he used to be happy in our house, but we had to move to an apartment. He used to be a wild cat such fight on the street. But then pulgo becomes to a lazy cat who sleep, eat and breath. 

hi, my name is Dania and i have a black blackberry.

Really, i don't like very much technology, do not call my attention.
However, i know is something very practical in our society for a quickly communication, interconnections, easy search of information, blah blah blah.
For the above reasons, i have a computer and a cell phone.
My computer is new, it has only two weeks (late Christmas present). Two weeks is a short time for develop a big affection to it. Therefore my favorite piece of technology is my blackberry.
It´s not very fast, but fulfills with all the things of i need, like call, answer calls, internet service, alarm clock.
I love it the keys and the sound it makes when i writing.
My blackberry always travel with me, sometimes in my pocket, sometimes in my backpack, enduring crashes and knocking whit patience.
It´s all i needing and i don't change for nothing <3  

MY FIRST SEMESTER

MY FIRST SEMESTER IN THE UNIVERSITY

In this semester i have seven subjects:
-Anthropology
-Archaeology
-History
-English
-Methodology
-Philosophy
-Biology 

My favorite subjects are philosophy and anthropology because i can understand it and are very interesting, on the other hand,  i dislike the classes of biology and methodology. Biology is very difficult and methodology is very very boring, makes me sleep.
As yet i cant take extracurricular, i have to wait to the beginning of the second semester. 

Out of the university i take classes of yoga Tuesday and Thursday since 19:00 to 20:15 hrs, this sport serves me a moment in which can be relax and apart of the academic load.

From this new academic period i expect dont regret about my decision of choose the anthropology like my career and i try to striving with the purpose of pass the different kinds of evaluation and hopefully exempt me of the exams.

                                              My autobiography

My name is Dania Sargent, I was born on June 17of 1996 in Santiago of Chile.
When I was two years old, I started kinder garden at "Montessori Rayhue". In this period my father broke up his relationship. Since then, I have lived only whit my mom and my sister named June.
When I was five years i was transferred to  "Huelquen Montessori"  school,where there I carried out all my studies of basic and secondary grades.
Now I am studing anthropology at "Universidad de Chile" and i am still living whit my mother and my sister, but in another home.
My dad lives whit his partner Catalina, who is pregnant now.
And my other sister Florencia lives whit her mother in another place.
I enjoy going out whit my friends and boyfriend and i get relaxed doing yoga and reading.
